Bidding of the tenth entrepreneurial innovation projects at Tongji Venture Valley came to an end on Dec. 15th, 2016. Twenty-nine entrepreneurial innovation teams joined the Vally, which marked the beginning of a one-year "dreams coming true" incubation journey. The projects improved significantly in independent innovation and in integration of informatization and industrialization. Moreover, projects with innovative business models increased, so did intelligent hi-tech projects with added values and high productivity.

These specialized projects showed a tendency of diversification. The new Tongji entrepreneurs showed an intense interest in artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, AR and VR in addition to traditional fields like Internet Plus, education, new materials, environment and cultural diffusion. Such Projects as Cloud Underground, tumor cell detection technology, intelligent monitoring for environmental vibration had taken the lead in their respective fields and obtained patents. It was worth mentioning that production lines had been set up for some of those projects in certain companies, an indication of projects which were mature enough to enter the market. The new entrepreneurs chose to achieve their success at the entrepreneurial innovation platform of their alma mater.

So far, the Venture Valley has had 303 entrepreneurial innovation projects with an incubation rate of 22%, among which 62 projects have entered the market.
