On December 16th,2016, the sixth Congress of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA)Tongji University Branch was held at Room C301, Sino-French Centre of Tongji University. Ms. WANG Luning, executive vice chairman of SORSA, and Mr. XU Meijun, liaison officer of SORSA attended the congress at the invitation of Tongji.

Ms. WANG Luning, alumna of Tongji, expressed her sincere congratulations on the successful completion of the congress and to the newly elected chairmanandmembers of Tongji University Branch on behalf of SORSA.She also recognized remarkable progress made by SORSA Tongji University Branch in academic exchanges, political engagements and self-improvement under the leadership of the CPC Tongji Committee.Meanwhile, she suggested the sixth board of directors of SORSA Tongji Branch take a leadership role for overseas students in following the national spirit advocated by President XI Jinping. She called upon Tongji alumni to work with innovation in support of the work of SORSA.

Eventually, Professor LV Peiming, Chairman of SORSA Tongji Branch, chaired the closing session of the congressfor people to contribute their observations and suggestions on issues including future growth and work focus of the branch.
