The 17th International Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) organized by the International Lung Cancer Research Association (IASLC) was held in Vienna from December 4th to 7th, 2016. An oncology team from the Pulmonary Hospital affiliated to Tongji University headed by Professor ZHOU Caicun attended the conference.

Chinese scholars did remarkably better this year than previous years at WCLC. In particular, the oncology team from the Pulmonary Hospital affiliated to Tongji University demonstrated their research results in keynote speeches, parallel sessions and posters.

The oncology team won four awards at conference. Professor REN Shengxiang was awarded with Young Investigator Award; SU Chunxia, an associate professor and WU Fengying, a physician with International Mentorship Award respectively and CAI Weijing, a physician with Developing Nation Award.
