Tongji Student WU Lixin Won an Academic Paper Award at FISITA 2016

Good news came a few days ago from FISITA 2016 (The Fédération Internationaledes Sociétésd Ingénieursdes Techniquesdel Automobile) that an academic paper entitled Design of a New-type Cam Mechanism CharacterizedbyIdeal Stiffness of the Electromagnetic Active Suspensionco-authoredby WU Lixin, an MSc student of theyear 2014, his supervisor Prof. CHEN Xinbo, and YIN Jun, a PhDstudent of theyear 2011,all from School of Automotive Studies, won the Academic Paper Award at FISITA 2016. For years, the research team led by Prof. CHEN Xinbo has worked on automotive and electromechanical integrated system, chassis system of new energy automobiles, and integrated design and control studies of the drive system of electric automobiles. The free academicatmosphere and the innovative spirit prevailing in the team attracts a number of outstanding students both from home and abroad to join them every year.

A total of 1,789 experts and scholars from 36 countries participated in FISITA 2016 with 513 papers published in ten automobile-related fields. One paper from each of the ten fields was selected for anAcademic Paper Award based on such criteria as innovativeness in content and public speaking skill. The Academic Paper Award by Tongji was in the domain of Idea of Advanced Automobiles.
