On November 17th 2016, the annual 14thShanghai Social Science Conferencewas held inShanghai Exhibition Center, along with the Award Ceremonyfor the 13th Shanghai Social Science Outstanding Achievements Award and the 11thOutstanding Achievements Awards for Research and Promotion of Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Tongji University wonseven awards.

The awards were approved by Shanghai Fund Council for Researches on Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Shanghai Social ScienceOutstanding Achievement Award Committee. 76 academic achievements were honored with the 11th Outstanding Achievements Awards for Research and Promotion of TheoreticalSystem of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, amongwhich were 60 outstanding academic works and papers on research and promotion of theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, 10 outstanding achievements on media theory research and promotion and six outstanding popular theory readings.In addition, 287 results were given the 13th Shanghai Social Science Outstanding Achievements Awards including four academic contribution awards, 273 Outstanding Awards, first prizes and second prizes of works and papers, as well as 10 Internal Exploration Outstanding Achievement Awards.
