For the first time, the law school joined hands with the School of Civil Engineering in training a student team for the contest. Two students from the Innovative Experimental Base for All-round Talents in Engineering (civil) and Law were selected to join the training and one of them eventually became a member of the Tongji University team. The joint training not only expanded the scope of selection of outstanding students, but also demonstrated the achievements of the Base for All-round Talents in Engineering and Law.

Students said that the Moot Court Competition was an exciting way for them to know the judicial procedures, understand the basic tenets in law and improve their practical ability. They came to realize the special role of the student from engineering background in helping them with their logical thinking as well as the important role the base played in producing all-round talents in engineering and law.
