The Third Chinese Food Festival was staged at the Confucius Institute, Kyung Hee University on May 15th. For three days, chefs from Service Department of Tongji University presented a variety of Chinese food to the faculty and students at Kyung Hee University.

The faculty and students spoke high of such traditional Chinese home-cooked meals as Kung Pao Chicken, Sautéed Shredded Pork in Sweet Bean Sauce, Steamed Broccoli in Broth, Braised Eggplant, and Tomato and Egg Soup.“The Eggplant is delicious”, “Steamed Broccoli in Broth is pretty and yummy”, “Can Kung Pao Chicken taste any better? If only you could come back again next year!” A reception was organized for people from different fields of life who worked and are working for the Confucius Institute, where Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce, Shanghai Smoked Fish, Honey-Stewed BBQ Pork, Black Fungus in Maggi Sauce and various delicate pastries were served. The festival not only provided traditional Chinese food, but showcased Chinese culture to peope at Korea.

The Confucius Institute organized this event to mark the 67th anniversary of Kyung Hee University and the 109th anniversary of Tongji University, and to promote traditional Chinese culture for more extensive cooperation between China and South Korea.
