On May 28th and 29th, a ceremony along with a Sino-German Vocational Education Forum was held to mark the establishment of the Sino-German Vocational Education Alliance in the 129 Auditorium of Tongji University.

Liu Lixin, deputy director of the Research Institute of Vocational and Technical Education Centre, Li Ruiyang, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Bi Jieli, former deputy director of Occupational Skill Testing Authority of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the principal consultant of GFBM Greater China, BerndSeuling, the representative of Hanns Seidel Foundation, Wu Zhiqiang, vice president of Tongji University, Qian Feng, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice president of East China University of Science and Technology, Chen Bin, vice president of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Jiang Zhiming, president of Shanghai Institute of International Education attended the forum along with leaders of education authorities from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Gansu provinces and leaders from 284 vocational colleges nationwide.

The Sino-German Vocational Education Alliance will play a significant role in developing a modern vocational education system in China, especially in furthering the cooperation between China and Germany on vocational education to make greater contributions for talent cultivation to meet the needs for Made in China 2025.
