May 20, 2016

A hundred pieces of environment design works from seventeen colleges and universities in Shanghai were on show at Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center (SUPEC) after being displayed at Tongij University for a week and moved to SUPEC on May 20th. Among them were a Core Tube Prototype of High-rise Buildings to cope with smog in the city, a Penetrable City accessible to every family with small business, a Mini-Waterscape Eco-Container that absorbed and decomposed noxious fumes and a 180° Cattery -- a small detachable shelter for stray cats. All this was part of the First Creative Youth event, an exhibition of creative cultural works by college students in Shanghai sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Party Committee for Education and Health and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
