2016 RoboCup China Open was held in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, from 24th to 28th April. Nearly 2,000 participants from 300 teams across the country took part in the competitions. TJArk, the Tongji University team led by Professor CHEN Qijun from College of Electronics and Information Engineering, successfully defended its championship in the Standard Platform League.
TJArk won all the games in the Standard Platform League, and successfully defended its title. The team was divided in two groups based upon the SPL results of last year. TJArk groups entered the semi-final after beating the competing teams from Xi'an Jiaotong University and Dalian University of Technology by 5:0 and 10:0 at the group stage. In the semi-final, TJArk won Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the last year’s runner-up. In the final, they thrashed the Northwestern Polytechnic University team 4:0 to become the SPL champion. During the competition, the umpire from TJArk strictly followed the high standards of international tournament and won appraisal from the organizing committee. TJArk demonstrated good sportsmanship by communicating actively with other university teams in the debugging and competition process.
