The construction of Tongji-Emerson Joint Industy 4.0 Experiment Center of Process Management has been completed on Jiading campus with joint efforts made by Tongji Industry 4.0-Intelligent Factory Laboratory and Emerson Process Management Company Limited. The center will provide a platform for teaching and innovation in industrial automation and related fields and for research on industrial projects.

On the morning of April 11th 2016, YANG Xianjin, Party Secretary of Tongji University, met Mr. Gocek, Vice President responsible for human resources management in the Asian Pacific region, Emerson. An agreement was signed between Tongji University and Emerson Process Management. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held later in the afternoon to mark the opening of the joint experiment center. In the future, both sides will enhance their cooperation in laboratory construction, teacher training, student practice base, student supervision by company supervisors, technology competition scholarships and teaching reform.

Proudsmart company limited will establish a cloud platform for the center, for which a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed among Tongji University, Emerson Process Management and Proudsmart.
