A delegation of Polytechnic University of Milan led by Donatella Sciuto, Vice President, visited Tongji University on April 5 2016. Professor Fang Shouen, Vice Chairman of Tongji University Council, extended his warm welcome to the visitors.

The last decade witnessed extensive cooperation between Polytechnic University of Milan and Tongji University in education and research. In particular，Tongji University， Polytechnic University of Milan and Polytechnic University of Turin jointly launched an undergraduate dual-degree program (PolyTong program) in Electronics and Information Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing and Automation for students of the year 2010. The students will turn out to be engineers who can speak Chinese, Italian and English.

For the future of the PolyTong” program, Mr. Sciuto proposed to expand the cooperation to more research programs in addition to reinforcing the teaching of fundamental knowledge and improving the teaching quality, which will provide more opportunities for teachers and students to put theory into practice. The two sides also exchanged ideas to explore the possibilities of cooperation in mobile communication technology.
