On February 29th, aStrategic Cooperation Framework was signed between Tongji University and Nature Publishing Group of Springer Nature, the world’s largest academic book publisher. The two sides are to join hands in promoting international brand names, recruiting international talents, publishing journals and books, providing academic training and offering database service. The strategic partnership will help increase the international reputation and influence of Tongji University in its endeavor to become a world-class university of sustainable development with support from NPG which is rich in expertise, academic communication and online resources.

President PEI Gang and President Steven Inchcoombe signed the agreement on behalf of Tongji University and NPG of Springer Nature respectively. According to this agreement, NPG will further present the academic achievements made by Tongji University on its journalNatureand its website: nature.com. In addition, it will help Tongji University recruit top professionals via its Naturejob.com and potential international students via itsScience American, a popular science periodical. They will jointly organize international academic conferences andNatureMaster classes to promote international academic communication and enhance the influence of Tongji University in related academic fields.
