The ICE Second-hand Bookstore conducted a book recycling activity at the beginning of the new term. ICE stands for Integration, Charity, and Economy. Even the bad weather couldn’t keep students away from the activity. Hundreds of books were donated or registered for resale.

Up to now, the ICE Second-hand Bookstore has kept a massive stock of second-hand books with a wide range of titles. As a part of the Green Campus Resources Recycling Station, the ICE Second-hand Bookstore opened on Dec. 1^st, 2014. The bookstore is dedicated to the development of a green campus, as well as to the charity work that offers support and convenience to the students of Tongji University and to the community. Different from the common second-hand bookstore, the ICE Bookstore accepts consignments for resale on a commission basis, which is a new form of business. This model provides a more convenient and flexible service for students and achieves the goal of tripartite wins. It takes the form of subscribing online and purchasing offline. The offline studio is to sell the books being consigned for resale and the second-hand books, while the online platform provides a service for students to lookup the available stock that is for sale.
