The oral defense meeting of Zhang Feihu, a graduate student of Tongji-Konstanz double master program was held in Mar.13rd in Tongji university. The Committee members are Prof. Shan Xiaoguang, Prof. Gao Xujun, Prof. Song Xiaoting and associate Professor Yu Xinmiao. Other students of the double master program also attended this meeting.

The topic of Zhang’s thesis iswhich discusses the different situations of shareholders’ participation during different stages in the set-up of corporations and was written in both Chinese and German. The language of the oral defense is German. Mr. Zhang Feihu made a presentation about his thesis and then the thesis defense committee asked some difficult questions, such as the ways for Chinese investors to set up a European stock corporation and the most significant difference between stock corporations in Germany and Europe. The committee unanimously approved the thesis.

The approval of Zhang’s thesis is groundbreaking, which means he became the first graduate student obtaining Tongji-Konstanz double master degree. It is believed that with the efforts of both teachers and students, more and more students will get this degree and the cooperation between European universities and our department will be closer.
