On the afternoon on Sep. 15, Tongji Law School ‘2014 Tongji Law School International Students Welcoming Ceremony’ was held at 1302, Zonghe Building. International students of Sino-German Double Master Degree Program from Germany and short-term exchange students from UK, Greece, Austria, Italy, India, etc. joined the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Shan Xiaoguang, dean of Law School; Prof. Dr. Cheng Deli, deputy dean of Law School; Prof. Dr. Song Xiaoting, deputy dean of IP Institute; Prof. Dr. Gao Xujun, director of Law School International Exchange Center; and other professors and staffs also joined the ceremony.

Firstly new International Students and professors of Law School had a self-introduction, and Prof. Shan briefly introduced history and culture of Tongji Law School and also expressed a warm welcome to new students. Prof. Cheng also gave a great welcome to new international students, and introduced rules and regulations of Tongji University and Tongji Law School.

Christine Hoessler, from Germany, as a representative of new students expressed a strong interest in Tongji-Shanghai-China life. In the end, Marta Benevento, from Italy, a senior student from Sino-Italian Double Master Degree Program, share her experience with new students. ‘2014 Tongji Law School International Students Welcoming Ceremony’ was the first open-semester ceremony for international students in history of Tongji Law School.
