Now you can rent a bicycle via your student card in Tongji University! For the new semester, Siping Campus promotes more than 200 wasted bicycles for new use for the benefit of students and teachers in Tongji.

For record, it is a common phenomenon that wasted bicycles arescattered in no use in universities which take up space and badly affected transportation on campus. It has long been a challenge on how to deal with these wasted bicycles.

During this summer, Tongji University has undergone research and conduct. Finally these wasted bicycles were brought back to life through legal processes and renovations at the ease of students and teachers. Painted green, labeled “Tongji Public Bicycles”, every bicycle has its own number. Teaching staff and students can rent bicycles in designated place and return it the same day. Public bicycle can be used only on campus.

It is reported that this new batch of public bicycles are followed by more renovations of others, more rent and return places, and expansion to other campuses of Tongji University.
