On August 28, “2014 Shanghai Innovation Design Forum & Yangpu National Innovation Urban Areas Development Conference” was held in the lecture hall of Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tongji University.

The Forum, themed “Design-Innovation-Surpassing”, discussed the current status, trend and innovative development path of the design industry. LU Yongxiang, an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to make a keynote speech of “The Evolution of Design ,Design 3.0”, accompanied by ZHUGE Yujie, Chief of Yangpu District, who addressed “Insisting on Internationalization and High-end Orientation, Building Shanghai into a Core ‘Design Capital’”.

LOU Yongqi, Dean of College of Design and Innovation, also made a wonderful speech titled “Design Innovation and Regional Transformation in Knowledge and Network Economic Era” and shared the latest idea of design innovation.

The Forum invited more than 200 excellent designers and industry representatives at home and abroad.
