From July 21th to 28th, 2014 “Innovate, Create and Venture”program was successfully held in Feng Chia University. This activity is hosted by five universities from four places including Tongji University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University，University of Macau，Shih Hsin University and Feng Chia University. About 100 students and teachers participated in the activity. Zhou Zuyi, Party Secretary of Tongji University, and Ting-ming Lai, president of Shih Hsin University and other university leaders attended the award ceremony.

Titled as “An encounter of city and university”, the result press of this program was held in Feng Chia University in Taiwan. Nearly 100 students from Feng Chia University, Shih Hsin University, University of Macau, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Tongji University presented their own ideas and solutions on old urban areas renewal. Party secretary Zhou Zuyi of Tongji University, chairman Chong-ming Zhang, deputy chairman Cheng-shu Gao , president Bing-qian Li of Feng Chia University, president Ting-ming Lai of Shih Hsin University and other university leaders, deputy mayor of Taichung Bing-kun Tsai presented in the activity and made speeches.

All students from five universities were divided into 9 groups in the program. They were assigned to provide solutions on old urban areas renewal in 52 hours, which arouse public willingness to participate in the change project. After detailed information collection, analysis and discussion, they proposed different solutions including shaping cultural villages, integrating new and old urban areas, the reform of Juancun village in Taiwan, and passing on Feng Chia night fair etc. The team with the theme of “ Caring for the solitary old in Qinghe Street”won the award of Best Venture. The team of “Looking for the old Taiwan Story”won the award of Best Innovation. The team of “1950 Juancun Village Reform”won the award of Best Creation.
