Four senior students from D&I college,DU Yuexin , HE Xu, TAO Zheming and XU Le, participated in the Shanghai EcoDesign Fair. They designed the urban farm and constructed it in two days. Guided by their teachers, they used some recycling materials such as 180 waste bamboo sticks from BIO farm, 400 trash bags, soybeans about 80 kilograms, and so on. The whole structure and form had a conjunction with greenhouse for planting, metaphoring growth by itsrising trend.

To recycle the material, the students grinded the beans which were put on the surface of the exhibition-houses into soya-bean milk and shared with the local people from the community.

This activity was well received and highly praised by the participants and local people.

As the first community activity for greencustomers, ShanghaiEcoDesignFairis also the biggest one. Themed by "grow your own",the exhibition area was separated into two parts, one part for popularization of the solutions about urban farming and the other for a platform of the urban ecological circle.

More than 15 thousand citizens were attracted to the exhibition on the first day. At the same time there were over 75 exhibitors participated in the interaction in this event. Entrepreneurs from various industries, designers and other invited speakers shared their experience and knowledge about the environment protection with the citizens.

The citizens were also invited to participate in the seminars, enjoy the live concert and taste the seasonal dishes on spot.
