There’re 22 researchers and administrative staffs from Sudan Academy of Science participated in the training programme on Solid Waste Management in Tongji University from 23rd to 27th December, 2013. This short-term training programme involved lectures on solid waste management, water resource management and sustainable development in China. Meanwhile, the training provided the participants the technique visits to Huangpu Sanitary Solid Waste Transfer and Laogang Landfill to have a better idea about the solid waste technology and management in China.

Prof. LI Fengting, Vice Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering and IESD, warmly welcomed the participants and he hoped to strengthen the cooperation between two sides.
