2013 Christmas Party was held in B1, Sino-French Center, on the 22nd of December. Organized by the International Cooperation Office of SEM, the party aims to make international students feel at home by celebrating a special Christmas in China.Dr. CHEN Xun, Director of Postgraduate Students Administration Office, SEM faculties, Chinese language teachers, and all staffs from the international cooperation office of our school, together with around 100 Chinese and international students enjoy the party together.
The party was overwhelmed with wonderful performances by students. The performances include Chinese group songs and solos from international students, the solo by international student with the Chinese student’s electronic piano accompaniment, the solo by Sino-French class student, and the interesting games. The well-dress group ethnic-style dance, as well as the dynamic and enthusiastic dance “ZUMBA”, boosted the party’s atmosphere to the climax. During the party, our Santa Claus showed up and delivered the gifts to the guests. The party ended up with students’ taking pictures with each other and tasting delicious Chinese buffet.
This semester, SEM welcomed over 150 international students from around the world. Through half a year’s study in SEM, TONGJI, students have adapted to Chinese life and culture. They learn academic knowledge as well as Chinese language and customs.
