Tongji-Plantagon Research Centre Agreement Singed in SFC

On the afternoon of November 5th, Tongji-Plantagon Research Centre Agreement was signed in Sino-Finnish Centre.

Dean of Design and Innovation College, Tongji University, Executive Vice Director, Prof. Lou Yongqi and CEO of Plantagon International AB, Mr. Hans Hassle signed the aggrement. Project Manager of Sino-Finnish Centre, Wang Danny chaired the signing ceremony, Dean of Modern Agricultural Science& Engineering Institute, Tongji University, Prof. Zhang Yalei, Prof. Jan Stael Von Holstein, presentative of Sino-Finnish Centre attended the signing ceremony.

The overarching objectives and intentions for the Parties is to commercialize and implement the concept of vertical urban agriculture into all of China. Tongji University will participate in the Urban Agriculture Research Network being established by Plantagon International AB and endeavor to engage Yangpu District of Shanghai to be amongst the first cities in the 101 Cities Network.

The Tongji-Plantagon Research Centre was founded on April 3rd, 2013 and this Aggrement defines the scope to be executed during the next coming 3 years. The success of the Tongji-Plantagon collaboration is founded on Plantagon being the technological experts of vertical urban agriculture and Tongji University having the sustainable innovation design and research expertise. Tongji University will have a central role in launching “the Linkoping model” in China through research, education and implementation.
