Presidents of ENPC and ENAC visit Tongji

Mr. Armel de la Bourdonnaye and Mr. Marc Houalla, presidents of ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees) and ENAC (Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile) from France, visit Tongji University in Oct.19.

President Pei Gang met with presidentsArmel de la Bourdonnaye and Marc Houallain Xuri Building, warmly welcomed their visit and thought highly of the cooperation with ENPC. The two parties discussed about the future development strategy both in Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management and Sino-French cooperation program SIMBA, and the possibility of airport construction and airport operation management between the two schools. The two sides also had in-depth exchanges of the Sino-French joint training projects for outstanding engineers.

In the afternoon Armel de la Bourdonnaye, Marc Houalla and Gaelle Le Goff, who is the representative of ParisTech in China, met with the students of dual degree in both Tongji and ENPC from our College of Civil Engineering, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering and the School of Transportation Engineering. They answered the students’ questions patiently regarding to the study and life in France and encouraged them to learn the French language well before they go there and welcomed them to arrive in Franceon schedule.

After that, the three presidents Pei Gang, Armel de la Bourdonnaye and Marc Houalla were present at the graduation ceremony of PT12 as well as the opening ceremony of PT14 in the Sino-French cooperation program SIMBA. Mr. Edouard de Pirey, the president of Chinaof Valeowas invited to serve as the SIMBA model for the PT14 freshmen. In the evening, the secretary of Party Committee Zhou Zuyi met with Armel de la Bourdonnaye and Marc Houalla. The two parties reached consensus in exploring new co-operation areas and continuing to strengthen cooperation in the future.
