The latest results of the Test for English Majors-4 (TEM-4) have been released by The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The students of SFL English department who enrolled in 2011 achieved satisfying results in this examination with the passing rate of 96.36%, exceeded the national average passing rate of the College English majors (51.37%) for 44.99%, and exceeded the average passing rate of English majors in polytechnic college (58.28%) for 38.08%. What’s more gratifying is that 9 students gained the A-level results, accounted for 16% among all the students, which is a significant improvement.

Test for English Majors-4 is an important examination for undergraduate English majors, and is one of the most important reference indexes to examine the comprehensive English knowledge and skills as well as the level of professional teaching. Leaders of SFL attached great importance to this examination, teachers of English Department put elaborate efforts on teaching and tutoring and students took the test seriously and prepared well, which all laid the solid foundation for the satisfying results.
