Finnish Minister of Health and Social Services Visited Sino-Finnish Centre

Minister of health and social services in Finland, Paula Risikko visited Sino-Finnish Centre recently and held a symposium with insiders about the corporation on education, medical services, social security.Feng Yiping, Vice Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office, Tongji University, introduced the discipline construction, social services, eight international cooperation platforms and efforts and results concerning about academic exchanges. Then, Professor Zhong Xiaoyan, presented current outcomes in cancer treatment of the Medical College, Tongji University. Paula Risikko expressed her appreciation for the achievements and promised to promote Sino-Finnish cooperation in cancer treatment by encouraging clinical and scientific exchange. Matti, Director of Aalto-Tongji Design Factory, introduced that Sino-Finnish Centre played an important role in the cooperation between China and Finland. Three years has passed since the establishment of Sino-Finnish Centre, and Sino-Finnish Centre continues to support the mutual goal of Aalto and Tongji to become world class universities and enhance their impact on society. Sino-Finnish Centre also actively contribute to the building of creative and sustainable societies of the 21st century through high quality researches, educations and innovations. Matti also described the short-term objectives and five-year plans of Sino-Finnish Center, seeking to enhance the cooperation features, further promoting academic exchange between Aalto University and Tongji University, and achieving deeper cooperation at strategic level. Finally, the two sides held discussion on how to deal with the aging problem, believing that the two sides should strengthen cooperation and work together to promote sustainable development.
