Sino-German Workshop on "Managing and Safeguarding Water Resources" was held in Tongji on June 16, 2013. This workshop was organized by Tongji University and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research(UFZ). The Helmholtz Association is the largest research center in German, and (UFZ) has been cooperating with College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University in the demonstration project for watershed pollution control in Chaohu Lake.MsYiping FENG, Deputy Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office of Tongji University,addressed an opening speech. She introduced the cooperation between Tongji and Germany.Prof. Pengfei HE, Director of Science and Technology Department, and Prof. Xiaohu DAI, Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, signed a cooperation agreement with representatives from UFZ.
