On Feb. 26th, 2013, Vice President Dong Qi met with Prof. Ali Haghani, Chairman of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Maryland and Prof. Lei Zhang Vice President Dong Qi signed the MOU on the university level. In the signing ceremony, the two parties reviewed the exchanges of different kinds between the two universities. Prof. Gu Xianglin, Dean of CCE signed the MOU on the college level. According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the fields of undergraduate/graduate students exchanges, Final Design Progrm, teachers exchanges, summer school and so on.

Before the signing ceremony, Vice President Chen Yiyi met with Prof. Ali Haghani and discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of engineering research. Prof. Huang Hongwei, Vice Dean of CCE, Prof. Wang Xuesong from school of Transportation Engineering, Ms. Li Jing, Program Director of American and Oceanian Affairs, International Exchange and Cooperation Office, TJU and Ms. Shen Jiajun, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, CCE attended the meeting.
