On 21 February, 2013, Mr. Nick Nuttall, Vice-Chair of the UNEP Publishing Board and Director of Division of Communications and Public Information, UNEP, welcomed and had a meeting with Prof. Li Fengting, Vice Dean of UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development, Tongji University, in UNEP headquarters (Nairobi) during the First Universal Session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum.

Prof. Li Fengting introduced the recent researches and publications of Tongji University with a review of the ten years’ partnership between UNEP and Tongji University, and presented the Chinese version of UNEPGreen Economy, UNEP Year Book 2012 and Our Planet (September, 2012) to Mr. Nick Nuttall. Mr. Nick Nuttall highly appreciated the quality and efficiency of previous translation work by Tongji University and expressed his confidence in furthering the partnership.

After the meeting, Mr. Nick Nuttall and Prof. Li Fengting signed the Translation and Publication Agreement between UNEP and Tongji University which grants Tongji University to translate, publish and distribute UNEP reports and publications in Chinese, including UNEP Year Book, UNEP Annual Report, Our Planet and so forth. The cooperation between UNEP and Tongji University is expected to be promoted and furthered to a new height.
