Three 600-Student-Exchange-Programs basically achieved the expected goals of talent cultivation drawing upon Excellence Education Program and international cooperation.

All through the year of 2012, the number of students studying abroad reached more than 2500, with an increase of 180 compared with 2011. Tongji kept carrying forward double-degree programs with key universities abroad and established 70 double-degree programs at the postgraduate level and 14 at the undergraduate level with 600 students cultivated annually. 24 summer camps were held with 971 participants (558 participants were from abroad 63 of which were from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). Drawing upon the efforts of Office of Teaching Affairs, Tongji further developed the Platform for English Courses by adding 40 more bilingual courses (Chinese and English) to 302 ones already established in 2011.
