In 2011, Sino-Finnish Centre started to offer an inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural innovative course–Tongji on Tracks. In this course, teachers and students try to solve practical problems with innovative concepts. Tongji on Tracks gives students an opportunity to acquire knowledge through the multi-cultural journey, cultivate innovative spirit, help each other, explore proficiency and improve themselves.

In 2011, 80 students crossed Siberia by train, completed multi-disciplinary workshops on the train and held an exhibition to show their innovative achievements in Finland; in 2012, 20 students from Tongji University and our partner colleges fulfilled four innovative workshops upon real cases requested by program providers and sponsors in Korea.

This year, cooperating with leading enterprises in innovation industries, Tongji University will provide research subjects with practical significances for this program, and meanwhile assemble outstanding faculties of on- and off- campus to instruct students to finish the innovative tasks in different groups.
