On November 10th, Mr. He Shouchang, deputy director of Shanghai Creative Industry Center, signed the agreement of “Shanghai-Florence Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center” with Mr. Matteo Renzi, Mayor of Florence. Professor Fang Shouen, vice president of Tongji University signed “Memorandum of Understanding between Municipality of Florence and Tongji University for the Establishment of Tongji University Overseas Campus in Florence” with Mayor Matteo Renzi, and Ms. Stella Targetti, vice president of Italy Tuscany Region. Ms. Wang Xinxia, General Consul of Consulate General of People’s Republic of China in Florence participated in the meeting.
Under the assistance of CIDIC and China-Italy Strategic Advisory Board, Tongji University, as an academic support unit of Shanghai-Florence Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, will cooperate with Italian universities, introduce education resources and organize long-term and short-term classes. It will implement the strategy of “3 x 600 talents program” and even take responsibility on planning exchange training classes for high-level talents. Meanwhile, it will cooperate with Italian governments including Tuscany Region, providing more opportunities for internships and jobs, and enhance win-win cooperation for corporations.
