On October the 30th, People Made-Nokia exhibition opened in Sino-Finnish Centre, Tongji University. The opening ceremony was hosted by professor Lou Yongqi and professor Sodamaa. The executive vice president of Tongji University, Chen Xiaolong, the vice president Wu Jiang, executive vice president of Nokia Marko Ahtisaari, Vice-consul of consulate general of Finland Arto Haapea attended the ceremony and gave speeches.
Nokia is the pioneer in global mobile communication industry, this exhibition used pictures, digital materials, spaces to present Nokia’s 20 years history and how its innovative products changed human life style. The exhibition looked back at Nokia history as well as revealed designers’ perception for the future.
Executive vice president Chen Xiaolong and vice president Wu Jiang emphasized the importance of creativity for a country, a nation, they spoke highly of the positive effect of Tongji Design Festival on enlightening students’ mind. Marko Ahtisaari, the executive vice president of Nokia fully expressed his passion and confidence in the exhibition and the future of Nokia. Vice-consul of consulate general of Finland, Arto Haapea, stressed the necessity and possibility of collaboration between China and Finland in technology, education, design and innovation, and expressed his hope that Sino-Finnish Centre would put up the bridge.
People Made Nokia is part of 2012 Radical Design Week and Tongji Design Festival, it will be on display in the main hall of multiple-use building in Tongji University, Si Ping Road.
