On October 22nd, Vice President Li Xin met Constantine (Dinos) Arcoumanis, Vice President (International & Development) of City University London (CUL), the Secretariat of the university network World Cities, World Classes (WC2). Li Xin welcomed Dinos and reviewed the developments of collaboration in WC2 since Tongji’s first participation in the WC2 conference this March. Dinos appreciated Tongji’s activities in the Eco-campus Club in WC2 and what has been achieved in the fields of green building and new energy. He suggested that cooperation can be extended to other clubs in WC2 and its member universities, such as working together with CUL in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and transportation engineering. After listening to the brief presentation of the Research Center of Green Building and New Energy, Dinos also had a discussion with faculty members of Department of Mathematics to explore opportunities in math-related areas.
