On October 14th, Mr. Cheng siwei, honorary Dean of School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, and former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, gave a lecture titled economic challenges China encounters and their solutions in Tongji University. Chairman of University Council, Zhou Zuyi and Vice President Dong Qi met with Mr. Cheng and the delegation of Shih Hsin University, including Cheng Jialing, Chairman of the University Board of Shih Hsin University before the lecture.

Cheng Jialing addressed the lecture and Dong Qi introduced Mr. Cheng Siwei to the students. Mr. Cheng’s sharing his views on China's economic problems and their solutions, which received good response from the students. Among the audience were Gu Shengzu, member of Standing Committee the NPC and Deputy Director of the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs, Xu Hejun, President of Chi Nan University, He Zhiqin, Vice President of Cheng Kung University, Gui Yonghao, Vice President of Fudan University, Xie Jianqun, Vice President of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and students from Shih Hsin University and Tongji University.
