On June 14th, the annual meeting of China-Italy Design and Innovation Center（CIDIC）was held at Triennale Design Museum of Milan in Italy. Prof. Fang Shouen, Vice President of Tongji University was nominated as 2012-CIDIC new president.

The participants included Present President of CIDIC, Mr. Carlo Malinconico, Commissioner of Italian Value Foundation; Mr. Mario Dal Co, Director General Italian Agency for the Promotion of Technologies for Innovation; Ms. Luisa Bocchietto, President of ADI; Mr. Chen Linhao, Deputy Director-General, Dept. of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R. China; Prof. Fang Shouen, Vice-President of Tongji University; Mr. He Renke, Dean-School of Design, Hunan University, President Hunan Industrial Design Association; representatives of Triennale Design Museum and members of CIDIC.

The members agreed to nominate Prof. Fang Shouen as the new president of CIDIC this year. They accepted as a new rule that each party could suggest new members. Italian side had suggested Triennale Design Museum as the new member. On a project basis, Chinese side announced that would provide the name of the Chinese new member later. Issues such as defining a general model of financing activities of CIDIC, inviting companies to be partners, developing CIDIC website and enhancing education exchange between China and Italy were discussed and reached a consensus in the meeting.
