On June 9, at the 2012 commencement ceremony of Feng Chia University in Taiwan, Tongji President Pei Gang received Honorary Doctorate from Feng Chia President Pao-Long Chang. Pei is the second Honorary Doctorate recipient in Feng Chia history and the first recipient from Mainland China. This doctorate is in honor of Pei’s professional accomplishments in the academia and his contributions to promote the collaboration between the two universities.

During Pei’s visit at Feng Chia University, he discussed with Tongji exchange students about their 4-month stay in Taiwan and encouraged them to make full use of the golden opportunity to learn knowledge and gain insight.
