On June 1, a delegation led by Professor Madhav Das Nalapat, Vice Chairman of Manipal Education Group of India visited Tongji University and were received by Vice President Wu Jiang.

Nalapat said the rapid growth of Shanghai has attracted the interest and attention of the Indian educational community and he looked forward to building cooperation and exchange programs between the two universities as they share many similar key disciplines. Wu expressed the hope to enhance mutual understanding between Tongji University and its Indian counterparts. The two sides reached initial consensus on how to strengthen exchange.
