On the afternoon of May 24th, the inauguration of Tongji Sino-Italian Strategic Advisory Board was held in Tongji University. The Advisory Board aims to put together wisdom, integrate various resources, actively use and develop its role of decision support, intellectual support and social support, combine university development, talents training, academic construction and service for society, so as to promote strategic cooperation and common development of relevant Sino-Italian institutions and enterprises and Tongji. Now it has enrolled 20 members of famous companies. Nearly 20 representatives from Chinese and Italian companies presented this ceremony. Prof. Li Guoqiang, President of Sino-Italian Campus chaired the activity.

Vice President Fang Shouen gave a speech firstly. He pointed out that the establishment of Tongji Sino-Italian Strategic Advisory Board is significant, that all of its members should actively offer constructive and practical advice on the development direction, strategies and plans of Tongji Sino-Italian cooperation and that supports shall be given to put together the resources from all social circles for Tongji.

Afterwards Vincenzo De Luca, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai, Maurizio Forte, Italian Trade Commissioner in Shanghai, Tang Zhijuan, HR Director Shanghai SANY Science and Technology Co., Ltd and Gregorio Borgo, CEO Pirelli Asia Pacific gave speeches in turn. Then the members of Advisory Board were conferred the membership board. Representatives from 3 Italian companies (Magneti Marelli, iGuzzini, Soilmec) awarded scholarships to 6 Chinese students of Sino-Italian Campus.
