On May 21st, Tongji Siemens Day 2012 opened in Tongji University with the theme of “Cooperation, Innovation, and Sustainability”, which is a part of German Week activities for the celebration of Centennial of Tongji’s engineering education.
Managements from Tongji University including Chairman of the University Council Zhou Jialun, Executive Vice President Chen Xiaolong, Vice President Dong Qi and high level managements from Siemens including Roland Bush, Members of Managing Board of Siemens AG, Mei-Wei Cheng, CEO of Siemens North East Aisa (NEA) and so on participated in the event.
As a highlight of the event, Gao Yan, General Manager of Region East and Vice President Dong Qi signed a Framework Agreement on behalf of each side to deepen the century-long partnership through a closer collaboration on scientific research, green technologies and talents development. During the whole-day event, Siemens held various activities for teachers and students in forms of workshops, lectures and campus recruiting.
Besides, Marc Wucherer, CEO of Industry Sector NEA, was honored Tongji Guest Professorship by Sino-German College for Graduate Studies (CDHK). He delivered a lecture “Perspectives for Competitive Industry” after the ceremony.
