From April 25th to 29th, Chen Xiaolong, Executive Vice President of Tongji University was invited to Feng Chia University for academic exchanges, accompanied by teachers and students from College of Architecture and Urban Planning and relevant staff from Office for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Affairs. During his visit, he gave a report entitled " Universities and Cities-Tongji University's Exploring of a Sustainable Road" for teachers and students in Feng Chia University. His report mainly introduced recent years' efforts Tongji University made and the roles it played in the Green Campus Project, World Expo 2010 in Shanghai and Tongji Creative Industry Cluster. Prof. Chen Xiaolong was appointed Distinguished Professor by Feng Chia University.

Taichung mayor Hu Zhiqiang, vice mayor, Director of Planning Bureau and Director of Transportation Bureau and other authorities of the city government listened to Chen Xiaolong's summary of the new campus planning of Feng Chia University. Mayor Hu Zhiqiang, on behalf of the Taichung City, expressed his gratitude for the participation and efforts the teachers and students in Tongji University made for the FCU's Shueinan Compus planning project.
