On April 19th and 20th, Vice President Prof Wu Jiang participated in the International Conference of The EU and China–Partners for a Green World, and made a speech during the Policy dialogue & discussion, presenting the concept, vision and action of the green campus and sustainability-oriented university movement of Tongji.

This conference was jointly organized by the College of Europe, Committee of the Regions of European Union, and Madariaga - College of Europe Foundation. Prof. Paul Demaret, Rector of the College of Europe, made a welcome speech. Then, keynote speeches are respectively delivered by Jean-Paul VAN YPERSELE, IPCC Vice-chair, Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Michael KOEHLER, Head of Cabinet, European Commissioner for Energy, Artur RUNGE-METZGER, Director “International and climate strategy” of DG Climate Action, Ambassador Wu Hailong, Head of the Mission of China to the European Union (letter), and Sun Xuegong, China National Development and Reform Commission.

Prof. Li Fengting, Associate Dean of UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD), made a speech in the Panel 7 Green urbanization, and Prof. Wang Yiwei, Executive Dean of Institute of International and Public Affairs, Director of China-Europe Academic Network, made a speech in Panel 1 Public diplomacy and civil society dialogue in relation to green economy and environment protection.
