Vice-President of the University of Tennessee visits Tongji

On the afternoon of April 5, Professor Lee L. Riedinger, Vice-President of the U.S. University of Tennessee, former Deputy Director of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory of U.S. Energy Department, visited our Jiading Campus. Tongji executive Vice-President Chen Xiaolong met with Professor Lee L. Riedinger.

Both sides respectively briefed their student cultivation, science research, international exchange and cooperation, and discussed the developing trends of energy research. Lee L. Riedinger hopes to further strengthen communication and exchange with Tongji University to promote the cooperation of the student cultivation and science research in the filed of energy research. Chen Xiaolong welcomes the comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in many areas with the University of Tennessee.

Later, Professor Lee L. Riedinger made a presentation entitled “The Importance of a Joint Energy Strategy-China and the U.S.” to the teachers and students from the College of Mechanical Engineering.
