April 6th, Mr. Ye Jingtu, Deputy Director-General of Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology came to visit Sino-Finnish Centre, Tongji University, accompanied by the delegation of Guangdong Provincial Joint Innovation Centre of Semiconductor Lighting Industry.

First, Prof. Pei Gang, President of Tongji University met with Mr. Ye Jingtu, the Deputy Director-General. Then, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Vice President of Tongji University and Mr. Ye Jingtu held an unveiling ceremony for the establishment of Guangdong Provincial Joint Innovation Centre of Semiconductor Lighting Industry-Shanghai Research Centre in Sino-Finnish Centre, Tongji University. Supported by Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology as well as Guangdong Provincial Joint Innovation Centre of Semiconductor Lighting Industry, the Research Centre will devote itself to the promotion of the development of technology for semiconductor lighting industry, design and application innovation, teaching and scientific research, social services and other collaborations. After the unveiling ceremony, Prof. Lou Yongqi, Deputy Dean of School of Design and Innovation as well as Vice Director of Sino-Finnish Centre, Tongji University, signed an MOU for Design Innovation with Mr. Sui Shirong, Director of Guangdong Provincial Joint Innovation Centre of Semiconductor Lighting Industry.

Relevant staff from Department of Science and Technology, School of Design and Innovation, Sino-Finnish Centre, etc. were also present at the unveiling ceremony.
