27 Mar., a delegation from the Finance Committee of the Parliament of Finland, led by Kimmo Sasi, Chair of the Finance Committee of the Parliament and Jouko Skinnari, Chair of the Economic Committee of the Parliament, came to visit Tongji University and Sino-Finnish Centre. Ms. Feng Yiping, Vice Director of International Exchange and Cooperation, Tongji University, briefed the information of Tognji University and its international cooperation. Prof. Yrjö Sotamaa, Executive Vice Director of Sino-Finnish Centre, gave a presentation of the Radical Design Week, which would take place during October and November 2012.

This official visit of Finnish Parliament delegation to China aimed at learning of China, including her present situation, future plan, development and economy, as well as visiting Finnish companies in China to see what and how Finnish organizations were doing here in China.

After the trip here, the delegation would report to the Parliament of Finland, and from this information, the Finnish parliament could think about the cooperation between Finland and China, especially collaboration on education and research. Also, they would propose some actions to develop the cooperation between these two countries.
