On February 23rd, Executive Vice President Prof. Chen Xiaolong had a meeting with Mr. Markus Ederer, Ambassador of EU Delegation to China. Prof. Chen introduced Tongji University, its green campus, internationalization focused on European partners, Sino-Europe Academic Network, etc. Mr. Ederer introduced some information of the Sino-EU Partnership on Urbanization and both parties agreed on developing exchange and cooperation in the fields of urbanization, energy efficiency, environmental protection, sustainable development, etc.

Prof. Chen and Mr. Ederer jointly inaugurated “Sino-European Energy Efficient Building Training & Research Center, Tongji Universtiy”, which is affiliated to our College of Materials Science & Engineering (CMSE), with the main mission of Switch-Asia “Train the Trainers” program financed by EU.
