On the afternoon of Nov. 12th, President Pei Gang met with Prof. Hans-Juerg Bullinger, President of Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Research Association and his delegation. Prof. Yu Zhuoping, the President Assistant of Tongji and Dean of College of Automotive Engineering, Prof. Zhang Tong, Director of New Energy Automotive Engineering Center, Prof. Wu Guangming, the President Assistant of Tongji and Dean of College of Material Science and Engineering, Prof. Wu Jianguo, Deputy Dean of College of Material Science and Engineering, Prof. Qiu Jun, Dean Assistant of College of Material Science and Engineering, Prof. Zhang Yongming, Executive Deputy Director of Sino-European Energy Efficient Building Training & Research Center, Prof. Yang Zhigang, Dean of College of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Li Liguang, Deputy Dean of College of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Dai Xiaohu, Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Urban Pollution Control were also present.

President Pei Gang and Prof. Bullinger signed a strategic cooperation agreement between Tongji and Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Research Association and unveiled Tongji- Fraunhofer College which was built jointly. In addition, under this agreement, Prof. Yu Zhuoping and Prof. Busse from Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Materials Research (IFAM), Prof. Wu Guangming and Prof. Hauser from Building Physics (IBP) signed two MOUs on electric vehicles and building material testing. According to MOUs, the first project of Tongji- Fraunhofer College will advent in the field of electric vehicles and an outdoor testing base of building material will be set up. On the afternoon of Nov. 10th, Vice President Dong Qi also met with President Bullinger and his delegation and gave an introduction to Tongji’s international cooperation strategies.
