On October 31, President Pei Gang met Martti Raevaara, Vice President of Aalto University, accompanied by several university supervisors who were responsible for foreign affairs and doctoral research programs.
President Pei Gang highly appreciated the achievements gained through Sino-Finnish cooperation during the past year, and expressed his ardent expectation to attract more teachers and students to take part in the exchanges between Tongji and Aalto through programs of all levels such as the Double Degree Program. Tongji representatives also introduced our latest cooperation programs, namely, Tongji “985 Phase Three”, Modular Professorship Program and International Post-doctoral Program.
Aalto indicated that they had attached great importance to the mutual cooperation as well, and that the Sino-Finnish Center and Tongji-Aalto Design Factory had turned out to be successful cases for its publicity of international cooperation on and off campus. Both Tongji and Aalto agreed to further discuss the sustainable development of Sino-Finnish cooperation after the meeting. Later, they will take part in the discussion of several programs, including teacher training, doctoral students’ cultivation and scientific research, double degree program, etc.
