On October 18th, Vice President Dong Qi met with the delegation from Universidad de Sevilla, led by the President JoaquínLuque Rodríguez. Prof. Li Zhenyu, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Prof. Huang Yiru, Vice Dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning also attended the meeting.

On the meeting Prof. Dong gave a presentation on the history and development of Tongji University, especially the three characteristics of education and investigation: interdisciplinary chain, internationalization and social service. He highlighted the cooperation between Tongji and Spanish institutions and the importance of the double degree program with Universidad de Sevilla. President Luque Rodríguez showed appreciation for the warm welcome and said that the Presidential Office and International Relations Office would give full support to this program and wished both universities great cooperation in the future.
