Dr. Karim Sadjadpour, expert for Iran issues, of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Dr. Paul Haenle, director of Carnegie-Tsinghua Center, visited our college of International Relations recently, and discussed with the teachers and students on the topic “Iranian nuclear issue and U.S. policy on Iran”.
During the discussion, Dr. Karim Sadjadpour introduced the historical disputes between Iran and U.S., and Obama’s latest policy on Iran first, then deep analyzed Iran’s domestic situation, domestic politics and its influence in the Middle East.
During the interactive section, the two experts discussed in depth with the present teachers and students on the Iranian nuclear issue, anti-terrorism, China-US relations, Korean Peninsula, and other international hot issues.
The discussion increased the understanding on the Iranian nuclear issue, US-Iran relations and other related international issues for the teachers and students.
